Dr. Sujata Agrawal

King George Medical College is one of the premier teaching Medical Schools in India. It has in hospital capacity of over 3000 beds with most of the super speciality faculties. During internship I worked in Medicine, Surgery, Obs & Gynae and their related sub specialities. I joined Gynae department in 1989 as resident medical officer and worked for 3 years and passed my MD exam in 1992. During residency I was involved with obstetric emergencies (Deliveries, forceps, cesarean sections, manual removal of placenta), minor gynae procedures (dilation and curettage, cervical biopsies, termination of pregnancies, tubal insuffulation), and assisting all kinds of Gynae and obstetrical operations besides participation in undergraduate teaching.

During MD I independently completed a research project Clinicopathologial Evaluation of menstrual patterns in sterilization women. In 1992 I joined as Senior Registrar and worked for a year. During this period I looked after OPD’s, supervised management of in hospital patients, attended all emergencies, did cesarean sections independently, assisted most types of surgical procedures and was involved with undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

For three years I worked as Gynaecologist in Dufferin Hospital, tertiary referral center in Obs and Gynae in our UP India . I attended all major national level conferences over last four years.

From Jan 1998 – Jan. 1999 I worked as Senior Resident in Nepean Hospital, Penrith Australia and completed the clinical training in women’s health under the guidance of Royal Australian college of Obst and Gynae. During the period I was mainly involved in management of patients with high risk pregnancy and was exposed to recent trends in this field.

Presently I am working as Obstetrician and Gynecologist , as independent Practioner and attached to Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals New Delhi India . My work involves OPDs ,taking deliveries, Cessarian Sections, Gynae surgical procedures ( Dialatation and Curettage, Pap Smear , Cervical and Endometrial Biopsies, Hysterectomies, Ligation, Infertility related procedures)

I keep myself updated with Current academics in my field and regularly attend State and National Level Conferences.
